How many people will be at the Retreat?

Just seven writers will be in attendance. We believe in keeping this intimate. We like small groups and cozy settings and want to make sure that writers get the time and attention they deserve.

I’m not from Wisconsin, how will I get to the Retreat?

Fly. Drive. Train. Bus. However you want! Elk Hart Lake is just an hour drive from Milwaukee and General Mitchell International Airport or a two hour drive from Chicago and Midway International Airport or O’Hare International Airport. Southwest Airlines often has cheap flights from in and out of Milwaukee and Midway from all over the country.

I don’t consider myself a professional writer. Is this retreat still for me?

Yes! HerStry welcomes writers of all levels to participate in our retreats.
