Code of Conduct

Welcome, we're so pleased you are taking a workshop with HerStry! HerStry strives to make all of our workshops inclusive and brave spaces.

While in our workshops we ask that participants make space for one another. Please let all voices be heard and do not usurp the conversation. The nature of virtual workshops is that sometimes we accidentally talk over one another, but please do not intentionally take over the conversation.

HerStry loves the risky writing. We love stories, essays, and poems that push boundaries and break the rules. But that said, we do ask our writers to refrain from submitting any writing for workshopping that intentionally perpetuates harmful or racist tropes. Stories that contain these themes and address them in a nuanced way are welcome, however.

Writing is hard, vulnerable work. Please come to your HerStry with an open mind and ready to grow in your work.
