Nail Down the Elusive Query Letter
In this comprehensive workshop, you will learn the fastest and most effective way to approach agents via query letter. This will include how to properly research which agents are the best fit for your project, how to navigate submission guidelines, how to write an effective synopsis of your manuscript, what a “hook” is and when it’s appropriate to use one, if ever, and so much more. We will also go over how to write a professional bio and how to maximize your relevant connections, abilities, and achievements, so you can put your best foot forward when approaching agents, publishing houses, and other figures within the publishing community. Finally, you will learn how to differentiate between small and large publishing houses, and the pros and cons of both. All of this will help prepare you for publication, whether it be at a small indie press or at a Big Five, and everywhere in between.
