In this 90-minute class, you’ll learn what contributes to a story’s atmosphere by analyzing published short stories and practice crafting different levels of atmosphere using exercises and prompts.

Crafting Your Story’s Atmosphere will cover what atmosphere is, how to identify it in stories, and exercises to help writers determine their story’s atmosphere and how to enhance it using specific techniques like word choice, syntax, and micro tension.
